Happy Valentines Day Everyone!!!

Dove Stamp Issued in 1990

This is a cross stitch I made for my husband in 1991.  I designed this from the Dove Love Stamp Issued in 1990. This has hung in his office or at home in his work area ever since.  Below is a picture of a cancelled Dove stamp.
Thanks for stopping by!! Everyone have a wonderful Valentines Day!!
The First Day Cover was issued in Romance, AR on January 18, 1990. It is Scotts #2440. I found a sheet of these on the internet for $1.89. I also found a post card for $14.00, listed as Love, dual w/UO. Pugh.  I do not know what that listing means, to me this stamp is PRICELESS.

1992 Love Stamp

This stamp was designed by Uldis Purins of Boston, Massachusetts. This is a First Day Cover issued on Feb. 6, 1992 in Loveland, Co.

A "First Day Cover"  is an envelope with a stamp canceled on its first day of sale.

Love and Weddings

The 42 cent Wedding Hearts stamp was release June 10, 2008 featuring vines that form the shape of hearts. It was designed to add elegance to wedding invitations and response cards.

I found this on the web, a Scott 4271, 42c Wedding Heart, booklet single with a starting bid of 65 cents.

American Sign Language Postage Stamp

The following is "American Sign Language"  29-cent stamp of a hand signing "I Love You". I believe it appeared as on First Day Cover on Sep 20, 1993, Burbank, CA. I feel certain that is correct, still trying to verify the date.

You can start stamp collection by carefully tearing off the right corner of the envelope or saving the entire envelope. At first you may want to save all your stamps, then later concentrate on a theme. I like "Love Stamps",other themes could include birds, celebrities, and history. The point is to just have fun!
